Alan Kirkland joined FOX 51 this past September and works as a news producer.

A Tyler native, Alan graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in Journalism. While in college, he hosted the campus show Subtext.

Growing up in East Texas, he remembers watching KETK’s own Danny Elzner report the sports for many years. Alan is a huge fan of both his alma maters, the Texas Longhorns and the John Tyler Lions.
