According to Smoaky.com, one of the top high school basketball recruits in Texas has committed to a Big 12 university.

Damiyne Durham, from Oakwood High School, has committed to play college hoops at Baylor University.

The 6'5" senior shooting guard held offers from other big name NCAA programs such as Memphis, Marquette, Texas, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Missouri and DePaul.

Durham has averaged 26.1 points per game in the first three years of his stellar high school career.

This gives Baylor athletics two of the most sought out high school athletes in East Texas, adding to a commitment by Mount Pleasant four-star senior wide receiver, K.D. Cannon, who committed to the Bears' football program, August 10th.
