Former REL quarterback cut by Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons released former Tyler Lee Red Raider, Marcus Jackson, Monday, the team announced.

The high school quarterback turned college wide receiver, was signed as a free agent April 30, 2012, by the Falcons and served on heir practice squad.

Jackson, 24, played college ball at Navarro before heading to Lamar University.

In college, Jackson finished with 65 catches for 1,159 yards during his two seasons at Lamar. His 10 touchdowns in 2010 were the second-most in a single season in Lamar football history.
