Former Ranger outfielder, Nelson Cruz, heading to the northeast
Texas — According to Major League Baseball, a former Rangers' slugger is heading to the northeast.
Nelson Cruz is set to sign a one-year, $8 million deal with the Baltimore Orioles.
Cruz will join East Texas native Chris "Crush" Davis, who also headed to Baltimore from Texas.
In 2013, Cruz has a batting average of .266, 27 home runs and 76 RBI in 109 games with the Rangers last before serving a 50-game suspension for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal.
Cruz, who's recorded 167 career home runs will lonely add to the power-hitting lineup of the Orioles behind Davis, Manny Machado and Adam Jones.
