ETX native, former SFA WR signs with Bills
Tyler, Texas (FOX51) — According to ESPN Central Texas, former Jefferson High School and Stephen F. Austin star wide-receiver, Cordell Roberson will join fellow East Texan Matt Flynn as a member of the Buffalo Bills.
After cutting defensive tackle, Jay Ross, the Bills decided to sign Roberson to their practice squad.
Roberson confirmed this on his Twitter account.
Roberson, an undrafted rookie free agent, set SFA school records with 221 catches, 3,191 yards receiving and 39 touchdowns in his career. Roberson was cut from the Carolina Panthers squad on October 8. The Cleveland Browns also released Roberson August 26 after being signed in May.
The Bills (3-5) host Kansas City (8-0) on Sunday.
