NEW YORK CITY — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will appear at a Tuesday fund-raiser in New York with Mitt Romney, Romney's campaign told CNN on Monday.
The appearance with Christie comes amid a three-day string of fund-raisers in New York and Connecticut, which Romney's national finance chairman predicted at a Monday afternoon event would "raise more than $10 million and potentially substantially more than that."
Known for his bluntness, Christie has previously hit the campaign trail for Romney and other GOP candidates.
While he has professed to have "no interest" in joining Romney atop the GOP ticket, Christie said late last month that Romney "might be able to convince" him to run as his vice presidential candidate.
Christie endorsed Romney prior to the first GOP primary and has fund-raised with Romney before.
