Lufkin, TX — Crime Stoppers of Lufkin wants your help identifying the suspects responsible for the burglary of a Lufkin-area convenience store and an automated teller machine (ATM) on the morning of October 17, 2012.
Employees arriving for work discovered the burglary, which, according to the store`s security videos, occurred at approximately 1:20 AM.
The security videos show a disguised burglar standing in front of the store, located in the 1000 block of South John Redditt Drive in Lufkin, wearing a black, long sleeve, hooded shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a Scream-style Halloween mask. The suspect cut the video cables for cameras monitoring the front, outside area of the store.
Moments later, another Scream-style burglar, also wearing a black, long sleeve, hooded shirt, black pants, black shoes, and a Scream-style mask made entry into the store through a hole created in the back, cinder block wall of the building.
Security cameras, which were still operational inside the store, captured video of one the thieves inside the store while the other stood guard outside. The inside bandit used an approximately five-foot-long pry bar to force open the store`s ATM. With the ATM open, the burglar grabbed the money box, and left the store through the hole in a back wall.
The burglar needed only two minutes and twenty-seven seconds to enter the store, burglarize the ATM, and leave the area.
