Tyler, TX (FOX51) — The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will be opening Woldert Park Pool, located at 701 W. 32nd St., from 1 to 6 p.m. this Saturday, June 22. There is no admission charge.
Woldert Park Pool is a small pocket park pool that can hold up to 75 people at a time. There is also a sprayground attached to the pool area.
“The City has been diligently recruiting lifeguards to work this summer and will now be able to open Woldert Park Pool,” said Debbie Isham, special events/recreation manager.
The City requires that patrons who plan to swim wear an actual swimming suit. No cotton clothing or basketball shorts are allowed in the pool. All children under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent or legal guardian with the pool manager before entrance into the City pool if attending without an adult. Children under the age of 13 must have an adult present with them at all times.
Woldert Park Pool hours of operation:
Monday through Thursday: 1 to 6 p.m.
Friday: 1-7 p.m.
Saturday: 1-6 p.m.
The pool will be open from June 22 through Aug. 10. Trained lifeguards are on duty.
Fun Forest Pool and Sprayground, 900 N. Glenwood Ave.
Hours of operation:
Sunday and Monday: Closed
Tuesday-Thursday 1- 6 p.m.
Friday and Saturday: 1-7 p.m.
Lap Swim is every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The pool will be open through Aug. 10. Trained lifeguards are on duty.
The Faulkner Park Sprayground, located at 410 W. Cumberland Road, is open to the public daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. until cold weather. The sprayground is not available for rent. Contact the Parks Administration office at (903) 531-1370 for more information or visit www.TylerParksandRec.com.
