Winchester recalls lot of ammunition
U.S. (Fox 51) — Winchester has recalled some of their ammunition after the company discovered it may contain incorrect propellant.
The Olin Corporation determined the above lot of 5.56mm M855 62 Graine PENE centerfire rifle ammunition has the wrong propellant, which could in turn damage the gun or injure anyone nearby when fired.
Olin Corporation, through its Winchester Division, is recalling one (1) lot of its 5.56mm M855 62 Grain PENE centerfire rifle ammunition.
Please check your box for the following information:
Symbol Number: ZGQ3308
Lot Number: WCC10M106-004
Do not use the ammunition if it contains this labeling. The symbol number and lot number are ink stamped on the outside of the 900-round shipping container and on the outside of the 30-round carton.
If your numbers match, immediately stop using the ammo and call Winchester at 866-423-5224 for free UPS pick-up of the ammunition. Upon receipt of your recalled ammunition, Winchester will ship replacement ammunition directly to you.
Other Symbol Numbers or Lot Numbers are not subject to this recall.
