Around one hundred twenty kids showed up today for the whiz-bang buckle shoot-out at rose city flying clays, a competition that can qualify you for nationals.
But most of the competitors i spoke with today, just wanted to beat their buddies.
This year, moms and dads could actually compete alongside their kinds, in a parent/child clay shooting event.
4-h clubs from counties such as Bowie and Houston showed up to bust pigeons.
The event was organized by the Henderson County 4-H Club and the procedes will help fund their program.
Kids as young as six could be seen shooting alongside some of the older, more experienced marksmen.
Now if you are looking to join the Henderson County 4-H, they meet on the 2nd and fourth Sunday of every month.
