Whitehouse teen jailed for 'sexting'
Matthew Bowers has been in trouble with the law before.
But now the Whitehouse man has been sentenced to a year in jail for sending a nude photo of himself to a minor.
With more and more teens getting cell phones, some parents say it's a problem.
Today we spoke with a Tyler attorney who is also a mother to teenage daughters.
She says the problem with sexting is that it can affect several people at one time.
If someone forwards an inappropriate text or photo to a third party, they could be equally liable.
Since Linda Hoak does have teenage daughters,she is well aware of the legal and personal problems that can result from sexting.
"The reality is, kids like to take risks and it feels a little safer when your texting. You're a little protected by that electronic wall," Hoak said
