Whitehouse man charged with multiple burglaries in Smith County
Smith County, Tx (Fox 51) — A Whitehouse man was arrested Monday afternoon following a handful of reported burglaries in the Flint area.
During a search, at around 4 p.m., authorities spotted a man with a nylon bag. Inside the bag, officials found several items taken from three burglaries on CR 191.
The suspect was identified as Jermaine Lashone Kennedy, 21, of Whitehouse. According to the Smith County Sheriff's Department, Kennedy showed investigators locations he had burglarized on CR 191 and CR 1313.
Authorities were able to recover about $6,000 in stolen property. Recovered items ranged from firearms to game consoles.
Kennedy was booked in to the Smith County Jail and charged with burglary of a habitation. His bail was set at $35,000.
