Whitehouse drivers irritated at railroad stop signs
WHITEHOUSE- Some Whitehouse drivers tell us they're furious about two unnecessary train stop signs. They say that the tracks haven't seen a train in many years.
Union Pacific says although the tracks are not active right now, there is always the possibility they could run trains on them any day.
But some say the tracks are in no condition to hold a train, and the tracks end just a mile down the road. Drivers say police back their cars up behind trees trying to catch drivers in a rolling stop.
The city confirms that police have in fact given more than 200 tickets to drivers at these stop signs in the last six years.
