VIDEO: Twin tornadoes spring up outside small Nebraska town

An extraordinary and terrifying sight in northeast Nebraska Monday afternoon as two tornadoes were generated almost side-by-side by a massive storm system.

The two twisters grew in size as they approached the town of Pilger with debris being tossed as they moved. Pilger and another nearby town, Stanton, were reported by storm chasers to have suffered devastating damage.

A weather channel severe weather specialists said one twister was on the ground for more than an hour.

The system unleashed several tornadoes in Stanton County in a system moving at approximately 25 miles per hour.
