VIDEO: Nearly 2,000 pound pumpkin wins farmer almost $13,000

California farmer, Gary Miller, grew a record-breaking 1,985-pound pumpkin.

It won the annual Safeway World Championship Pumpkin weigh-off in Half Moon Bay on Monday.

Beating last year's winner who grew a 1,775-pound pumpkin.

Miller won a prize of $11,910, which comes out to $6 per pound.

He also got an extra $1,000 for having the heaviest pumpkin from the state of California.
