Colorado (FOX51) — Gun control laws in Colorado continue to grow tighter and tighter and some county sheriffs have decided to put their foot down.
Sheriff John Cooke, of Weld County, explained in a news conference, he is not enforcing the state's new gun laws.
Sheriff Cooke says the new laws banning the possession, sale or transfer of the large-capacity magazines is impossible to enforce in the state's rural regions.
Two state senators who supported the tighter gun laws were recalled in September elections.
A third state senator resigned last month rather than face a recall.
