U.S. Supreme Court refuses to hear Harrison County gas case

HARRISON COUNTY- The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear a case involving the Harrison County Central Appraisal District, making it likely that entities within the county will have to return millions of dollars to various gas traders and vendors, the appraisal district's attorney said Wednesday.

Attorney Kirk Swinney said the appraisal district has the option to file a motion for a rehearing with the U.S. Supreme Court, but he does not know if that option will be pursued.
