Upshur County residents say they support tax hike to save jobs

Upshur County employees and taxpayers turned out by the dozens Thursday night to tell one commissioner that the majority of them would support a tax increase to save jobs and to save the county’s budgets.

This story is incorrect there were maybe 5-10 people that were not employees or married to employees of the county. The vast majority of the participants were county employees. The county employees continually made mention that they were taxpayers too, but fail to recognize that they are 200 of 20,000 voters and taxpayers of Upshur County. They also must remove the emotional part of the equation, this was something very difficult for them to do. I personally don't want to pay higher taxes.
