Original report:

Multiple agencies are scouring portions of western Tennessee for the man wanted in a Van Zandt County double homicide.

According to Ripley Police Department spokesman Lt. Lynn Gould, authorities are searching for Donny Greenhow in Lauderale County, Tennessee.

Law enforcement became aware of Greenhow after they received reports of a drive-off at a Ripley gas station. The fugitive left ID behind that led to the discovery that he was wanted in Van Zandt County in connection to the deaths of 74-year-old Peter Shick and 55-year-old Latricia Shick.

Authorities say Greenhow was a family friend of the victims. They say Latrisha's body was discovered in the kitchen and her husband, Peter, was found in their bedroom. Investigators linked Greenhow to the murders by fingerprints he left behind in an SUV stolen from Kaufman County.

Following several hours of patrols, a deputy spotted the vehicle similar to the description of the reported truck, but Greenhow managed to evade arrest.

Authorities currently have the murder suspect contained to a 20-30 square mile area that runs along the Mississippi River.

Tennessee marshals, deputies, highway patrol, wildlife resources and a nearby state prison are currently looking for Greenhow. A helicopter from Mississippi County, Arkansas has also been brought in to assist with the manhunt.

Texas authorities have warned Tennessee law enforcement that Greenhow is armed with an AK-47 and has made it clear he will kill anyone who attempts to arrest him.
