UPDATE: Missing elderly man found safe in Louisiana

UPDATE: The Silver Alert for Willie Hubert Wingfeld has been canceled.

Tyler police tell Fox 51 He was found safe in Vermilion, Louisiana.



Monday, February 04, 2013 2:20 p.m.  The Silver Alert issued for Willie Hubert Wingfield, of Dallas has been cancelled.  Wingfield was found in Vermilion, Louisiana in safe condition.   

On Sunday evening, the Tyler Police Department received information of a confirmed sighting in Upshur County near Big Sandy. 

Mr. Wingfield was driving the 2000 green Dodge Intrepid.

 


 

A Silver Alert has been issued by the state in response to this critical missing adult.

Tyler Police Department is currently looking for a critical missing adult. Willie Hubert Wingfield was reported missing on February 1, 2013 at approximately 11:45 pm. Family members stated that Wingfield was driving from Ft. Worth to Tyler to visit his girlfriend. Mr. Wingfield stopped and called her for directions to her house at approximately 5:30 pm. He indicated that he was at the CVS pharmacy located at Glenwood and W. Gentry. The last time Wingfield was contacted he stated he was somewhere on Queen St. They have been unable to contact him since and it appears that his phone is not working or is turned off at this time. Mr. Wingfield is diabetic and is diagnosed with dementia and maybe confused. Mr. Wingfield is described as a African American Male, with grey hair and brown eyes. He is 5’7” and 135 lbs. He is currently driving a 2000 Green Dodge Intrepid Texas license plate number 640WFT.
