Update: Empty house burns in Chapel Hill

No one lives in the home that burned, according to authorities at the scene. The fire is now out, but crews remain on the scene to put out any hot spots that may pop up.

There were no injuries. The home is a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Several fire departments are on the scene of a structure fire in Chapel Hill.

The fire was reported just after 9:30 am in the 13000 block of County Road 2241 off of Old Omen Rd.
