UPDATE: Downtown Overton shutdown following train, 18-wheeler collision

OVERTON — KFXK has learned the driver of the 18-wheeler claims the warning signal for the train did not work.

The train has been identified as a Union Pacific.

No one was injured in the accident.



OVERTON — Authorities have shutdown the entire downtown area of Overton to allow crews to clean up the area.

The train is at a standstill, but it is unknown if the locomotive derailed.

A fork lift is currently being used to keep the 18-wheeler from tipping over.

No word if anyone was injured.

 


OVERTON — According to Overton police, a train and 18-wheeler have collided near the intersection of Henderson Street and FM 850.

Injuries are unknown at this time.

KFXK has a crew headed to the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
