Friday, December 9, 2011 - 9:31am

SMITH COUNTY — According to Smith County DPS, all I-20 lanes have re-opened.

Westbound lanes of I-20 have reopened, however, Eastbound traffic is still reduced to one lane.

Traffic is moving slowly in that direction.

An 18-wheeler rollover has shut down Interstate 20 Eastbound near Mile Marker 577 just before 11 o'clock Thursday night.

There are reports the semi is leaking acid and that the driver is hurt.

No word how bad, but according to scanner traffic, he does have lacerations to his head.

Hazmat is also headed to the scene.

We have a crew on their way.

Everybody within 100 ft. of the accident is being evacuated.

The highway is shut down a mile each way due to chemical leakage.

TX DOT has confirmed that this portion of the highway will be shut down for a long time due to cleanup and safety precautions.

We'll bring you more information as it becomes available to us.
