To the East Texas Food Bank

Tyson Foods and Brookshires donated 29,000 pounds of boneless chicken to the East Texas Food Bank Thursday.

The East Texas Food Bank distributes more than 19-million pounds of food every year, and they say the number of East Texans who rely on them for food has jumped 90 percent in the last five years.

Tyson Foods and Brookshires say the donation is to feed those people in need and to promote public awareness of hunger in America.

They say this donation is one more step toward ending that hunger for good.
