Tyler Public Library patrons have access to NoveList ® Select

The catalog is the most used library resource; however, if all copies of a book are checked out, dead-end searches can leave patrons with nothing to read. Now Tyler Public Library patrons can go beyond their initial searches with NoveList® Select, which provides links to other books by leveraging the rich content found in the NoveList® database.

“NoveList® is the most frequently used readers’ advisory database, effectively connecting readers to their next book,” said City Librarian Mary Vernau. “The service also includes community reading recommendations and reader reviews from Goodreads, the largest social network for readers— directly in the catalog.”

NoveList® Select provides readers with additional options for what to read next, providing a live link inside the library catalog allowing users to discover new books that meet their needs and that are available in the Library. The rationale for each recommendation allows users to understand why a particular title is being suggested.
