Tyler: Possible constable-involved shooting

TYLER — 8:30 a.m. UPDATE

The incident happened at about 6:30 this morning at the Wood Trails Apartments.

Officers on scene say there were two intruders, and the person who lives in the apartment shot at one of them. When officers arrived, they found the man who was shot, but the other man had run away. The word is that he has also been caught.


Tyler Police are on their way to the site of a possible shooting this morning.

Officer Don Martin says it happened in the 1900 block of Shiloh Road. He heard an intruder broke into the house of a constable, and that the constable shot him.

Right now, there is no word about injuries. We also don't yet know which constable may have been involved.
