Tyler Police looking for suspect in Dollar General robbery

On Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 9:35 p.m., officers with Tyler Police were called to a robbery at the Dollar General in the 2700 block of West Gentry Parkway in Tyler.

Two employees working in side the store saw a white or Hispanic male enter through the front door, his face was concealed with what appeared to be a gas mask and was armed with a black pistol grip shotgun.

The suspect pointed the gun at the employees and demanded money. After an undetermined amount of money was taken, he left the scene on foot running north bound on West Gentry.

Fortunately, the employees were unharmed during this incident.

The suspect is described as being between 5'10" to 6'0" tall, weighing about 145 pounds with brown hair. He was wearing a black or blue jacket, a red t-shirt, and blue jeans.

At this time there is no further information and the incident is still under investigation.
