Tyler Police looking for man who robbed a woman in a restaurant parking lot

Tyler Police are looking for a man who robbed a woman in the parking lot of a local restaurant.

It happened at 9:21 p.m. at Taqueria Guerrero in the 2020 block of East Gentry Road in Tyler.

The owner of the restaurant was walking to her vehicle when she was approached by a man wearing all black clothing.

The man displayed a handgun and took her purse.

The robber then fled the scene on foot, possibly northbound on Old Gladewater Highway.

Fortunately, the victim was not injured in the incident but an undetermined amount of money was taken.

The suspect was wearing all black clothing and also had a black dew rag covering his face.

Authorities described him as a male standing 5 feet 8 inches with a stock build.

At this time there is no further information regarding this case and it is still under investigation at this time.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspect in this case.
