Tyler Police arrest robbery suspect

TYLER — UPDATE: Laquisha Machelle Brooks is also the suspect in an aggravated assault case.

On April 23, officers were sent to the East Texas Medical Center emergency room to investigate a stabbing.

The victim stated that his live-in girlfriend stabbed him following an argument. Officers were dispatched to his residence within the 2300 block of Bellwood Rd.

After a thororugh investigation police placed the suspect under arrest. Brooks has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.


TYLER — Tyler Police have identified the suspect involved in the robbery at the Valero gas station on Loop 323 last week.

The suspect is Laquisha Machelle Brooks of Tyler.

Brooks has been charged with two counts of robbery, the first incident occurred when Brooks approached a UPS worker in a parking lot and robbed him in December of last year.The suspect is now in Smith County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
