Tyler Junior College investigating alleged sexual assault on campus
TJC officials have confirmed with our sister station KETK that they are working with Tyler police to investigate a report of an alleged sexual assault on campus.
Fred Peters said that police were called by a local hospital before 6 p.m. Sunday. The alleged assault happened overnight the preivious evening.
Peters says the suspect is around 300 pounds, 6 feet tall and wearing a TJC shirt and blue jeans. Police are currently looking for the suspect.
And update was posted on the TJC facebook page at 8:45 p.m. Sunday:
"Anyone with information that could be helpful to TJC Campus Police is asked to call TJC Police at 903-510-2222. Tips can also be sent anonymously by texting 79516, starting the message with "tjctip" then texting your message."

TJC has yet to confirm the investigation but the following message is posted on the college's facebook page:
"TJC Police are investigating a report of an alleged sexual assault that occured on campus, possible in Ornelas A. uknown suspect is a tall heavy set Black male wearing a TJC shirt and jeans."
