Tyler investigators searching property where 2-year old was burned last month

UPDATE: Tyler police and Child Protective Services are reportedly at a house on Aberdeen in Tyler.

Witnesses tell KETK, they are searching a vehicle and 3 children were taken into custody by CPS.

KETK has not yet received confirmation by the Tyler Police Department.

KETK has a crew on the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available.


Tyler — Tyler police are investigating an incident in which a 2-year old's feet were severely burned Tuesday.

At around 9:28 a.m., Tyler police responded to the 4200 block of Aberdeen to assist EMS on an injury to a child.

Upon arrival, it was determined that a 2-year old girl, identified as Bridget Walker, had been severely burned on the bottom of her feet from hot water in the bath tub. The adopted parents were home at the time of the incident.

Walker was taken to a local hospital, then transferred to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Child Protective Services were contacted by Tyler police to investigate.

Investigators are currently working to determine if this was an accident or if foul play may be involved.
