Tyler driver spins out of control on slick roads
TYLER — Two people were taken to the hospital this morning after a one-car wreck in the 3000 block of old Jacksonville Highway near Colonial.
Tyler police tell KETK the driver, 25-year old Erica Kirby, was traveling north on Old Jacksonville around 7:50 a.m. with her six-year old daughter when she lost control of her vehicle on a curve and spun out of control. Kirby's vehicle skidded into a utility pole and came to a stop on top of a homeowner's brick wall.
The mother and daughter were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Traffic will be re-routed until the roadway is cleared sometime this afternoon.
