Tuesday, July 17, 2012 - 4:46pm

The Tyler Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Texas Public Health District have teamed up to provide immunizations to children in East Texas as they prepare for the 2012-2013 school year. The event will be on Saturday, July 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Metro offices located at 2000 West Gentry Parkway which is across the street from Whataburger.

In order for your child to get shots, the parent/guardian will need to bring a copy of the child's shot record as well as Medicaid/Chip cards. If the child is not on Medicaid or Chip, there will be an administrative fee of $8 per vaccine. This is for children through age 18. They will also be bringing the meningitis vaccine for adults (19 years and older). The price for this vaccine will be $85. WIC will also be there with information and to answer question about their program.
