Tyler — The Tyler Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Texas Public Health District have teamed up to provide immunizations to children in East Texas as they prepare for the 2012-2013 school year. The event will be on Saturday, July 21st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Metro offices located at 2000 West Gentry Parkway which is across the street from Whataburger.
In order for your child to get shots, the parent/guardian will need to bring a copy of the child's shot record as well as Medicaid/Chip cards. If the child is not on Medicaid or Chip, there will be an administrative fee of $8 per vaccine. This is for children through age 18. They will also be bringing the meningitis vaccine for adults (19 years and older). The price for this vaccine will be $85. WIC will also be there with information and to answer question about their program.
