Tyler Cattle Barons holding sporting clays event to fight cancer

Tyler Cattle Barons' Sixth Annual Sporting Clays Event is scheduled for Saturday, March 23rd at Prairie Creek Sporting Clays in Gladewater, TX. This event is part of several spring events which raise money for the American Cancer Society and lead up to the Tyler Cattle Barons' Gala, which will be held June 8th.

"Whether you are a first-timer or Master class shooter, you will have loads of fun while supporting a worthy cause" says Mike Martin, Jr., Sporting Clay Co-Chair.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shoot begins at 9:15 with a 5-member team format. Individual shooters are also welcome to register and will be placed on teams in need of shooters.

"We encourage everyone to come out and participate", said Cassie Hampe,Sporting Clay Co-Chair. "It's a great way to have fun and shoot for a cure."

$50 chance drawing tickets are available for an opportunity to win a Beretta Silver-Pigeon I 28-gauge over-and-under shotgun valued at $2400 (underwritten by Wilson, Robertson & Cornelius, P. C.). Trophies and prizes will be awarded for the top teams, high-overall shooter and last-place shooter at the conclusion of the event.

In addition to the shooting event, participants can enjoy breakfast tacos donated by Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q and coffee donated by Starbucks. Following the shoot, lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A.
