Two women attacked, robbed at gunpoint in Rusk

Two women were robbed at gunpoint in Rusk, and now police are searching for the suspects.

It happened in the 100 block of North Main Street late Sunday night.

Sources say, two women were leaving a business when two men confronted them and held them at gunpoint.

One of the women was then pistol-whipped in the head and pushed to the ground by a man in a red hoodie.

One of the men then stole the woman purse, and they both took off in different directions.

According to sources, a helicopter is currently searching for the suspects, and one suspect may have been spotted on top of a building in the appraisal disctrict.
