Two people died and four were injured Sunday morning after a fiery wreck on I-20 in Gregg County.
According to DPS, the wreck happened at about 3:00 am in the eastbound lanes of 1-20 near the Highway 42 exit in Gregg County.
Two trucks were driving over the speed limit and racing next to one another when one truck hydroplaned and struck the other truck, knocking it into a restraining wall. Both trucks left the roadway and collided again, causing one of the truck's fuel tanks to rupture and explode.
The driver of one of the trucks, Victor Hugo Castro 22, of Longview, as well as a passenger in the other truck, Yalita Diaz, 18, of Longview, were killed.
Three other people were hospitalized at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview in stable condition. Another person is hopsitalized at Parkland Hospital in Dallas for severe burns.
