Two E. Texans charged in grave thefts
GAINESVILLE,TEXAS (Fox 51) — Two people were arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly robbing grave sites across East Texas.
The Van Zandt County Constable's Office arrested Ruby and Jack Brown, both of Murchison, on theft of property from a grave charges in Gainesville.
On May 15, Van Zandt authorities discovered grave burglaries at the Mytle Springs Cemetery, Asbury Cemetery and Meredith Camp Grounds Cemetery. The suspects were allegedly taking brass from the graves.
The Van City Marshal's Office and Gainesville Police Department assisted in the arrest.
