Twin Peaks has announced Wednesday they will expand into several new markets, including East Texas.

Chalak Peaks Restaurants, LLC, signed a six-store agreement to develop Twin Peaks in Texarkana, Tyler, Longview, Killeen/Temple, Waco and Shreveport over the next several years.

The business is known for its "rugged mountain lodge atmosphere, homemade comfort food, 29 degree draft beer, high-definition televisions and – its most prized assets – the Twin Peaks Girls."

The group opening the eatery owns and operates 260 different restaurant concepts nationwide, including Baker Bros-American Deli, English Grill and Pepper Smash, as well as multiple Yum! Brand restaurants such as KFC, Taco Bell and Long John Silvers.

“This agreement speaks volumes to the brand equity that Twin Peaks is building in the industry,” said Shannon Glaser, Twin Peaks’ Director of Franchise Development.

Chalak Peaks officials expects to begin opening their new restaurants by mid-2013.
