Today the Texas Forest Service responded to seven new calls for assistance from local fire departments.

Kerr County, Schoelzzow Fire - 250 acres. Located 16 miles southwest of Hunt. Air attack and single-engine air tankers responding.
Stephens County, Lucas Fire - 150 acres. Located 6 miles southwest of Caddo. TFS resources: air attack, helicopter. Local resources on scene.
Panola County, No. 106 - 1 acre; no further information.
Cass County No. 141 - 1 acre; controlled.
Newton County, No. 238 - 10 acres; controlled.
Angelina County No. 239 - 78 acres.
Tyler County No. 240 - 10 acres; controlled.

Eastland/Stephens/Palo Pinto Counties, Hohertz Fire - 2,100 acres; located 9 miles NW of Strawn; 100 percent contained.
Garza/Grosby Counties, Killough Fire - 35,484 acres; 90 percent contained. TFS resources include: bulldozers; engines; air tankers.
Stonewall/Knox/King Counties, Swenson Fire - 103,384 acres; 90 percent contained. 160 homes saved.
Palo Pinto County, Hohertz Fire - 2,100 acres; 100 percent contained.
Pecos County, Cannon Fire - 4,500 acres; lightning caused. TFS resources include air attack and two single-engine air tankers (SEATs).
