Texas job growth

Tyler, TX — Reports released Wednesday say 38,000 jobs were added in May.

However, analysts had predicted more than 175,000 jobs to be added.

Disappointing numbers for the nation, but reports indicate Texas could be bucking the trend.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston continue to lead the nation in new jobs.

Analysts say Texas has been a leader in job growth and the trend has continued even in this economic downturn.

This may leave many other states wondering, how does Texas do it?
