Sunday wildfire update

Sunday update on fires the TFS responded to today:

Hardeman County, Willow View Fire - TFS bulldozers and engines responded at 6:00 pm. Fire is 640 acres approximately 6 miles northeast of Quanah and 4.5 miles due south of the Oklahoma state line. No homes or structures threatened.

Garza County, Justiceburg Fire - TFS bulldozers and engines responded at 6:45 pm Fire is 2,000 acres. 20 homes threatened; 400 recreational vehicles threatened. Fire is approximately 1-1/2 miles west of Justiceburg.

Real County, Rancho Real Fire - TFS air attack, bulldozers and engines responded to a fire 2 miles south of the Edwards/Real County line; 8 miles northeast of Camp Eagle. Fire is 40-50 acres; no structures threatened.

Gregg County, Fire #93 - TFS bulldozer responded to fire in 1 acre logged area. Fire is approximately 3 miles southeast of Liberty City. Constructing line.

Ector County, Bates Field Fire - TFS helitanker, heavy air tanker, bulldozers and engines responded at 4:25 pm. Fire crossed Loop 385. Homes being evacuated. Fire is approximately 1,500 acres. Holding the head of the fire at the Water Treatment Plant Road. No homes or outbuildings lost.

Brown County, Camp Bowie Fire - TFS air attack, Type 1 helicopter, 2 heavy air tankers, a lead plane, bulldozers and engines responded to a 3,000 acre fire off CR 45 at the Texas Army National Guard Training Facility at 4:30 pm. 12 homes immediately threatened. Fire is in grass, cedar and oak; moderate to severe terrain. Fire is 4 miles from the south city limits of Brownwood.

Fire's reported earlier today that are now contained or controlled:

Yoakum County, Fouch Road Fire - TFS bulldozers, engines, supervision, and 2 SEATS responded to a fire 2 miles west of Denver City. Homes being evacuated. Fire was 150 acres; 100% contained at 6:00 pm

Harrison County, Fire #122 -TFS bulldozer responded to a 2 acre grass fire on Hwy 80W approximately 4.5 miles west of Marshall. 100% controlled at 4:00 pm.

Marion County, Fire #121 - TFS bulldozer responded to a 2 acre grass fire at Hwy 43S, N-46R. Cause-debris burning. Fire was controlled at 4:20 pm

Jasper County, Fire #207 - TFS bulldozers and supervision responded to a fire in pine and hardwood mix on Hwy 253 east of Buna at the county line. VFD on scene. Fire was 5 acre; cause-debris burning. Fire was controlled at 2:55 pm.
