The Houston Chronicle is reporting; The fastest-growing economies are in the developing world, a new study from the Brookings Institution says.

Brookings ranked Houston No. 40 among the world's largest 300 metropolitan economies, but it was the top-rated metro region in North America. The report says the city has only partially recovered from the recession.
