Tyler, Tx (Fox 51) — Judge Christi Kennedy of the 114th District Court approved an extension to recommit Byron Truvia to a state hospital Monday morning.

In 2009, John Tyler High School student Byron Truvia, now 19, fatally stabbed his teacher, Todd Henry, 51, in a classroom.

Since then, Truvia has been in and out of various hearings and mental evaluations.
