Tyler — State Representative Leo Berman released the following statement in regard to his battle with cancer today:
After receiving the results of two CT scans, Representative Berman said, “My oncologist diagnosed that my cancer is in remission. As a matter of precaution, I will complete the last two scheduled chemotherapy treatments next month. I served two years in Vietnam where I was exposed to Agent Orange and I encourage all Vietnam veterans to be sure they are registered on the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Agent Orange list.
I am thankful the Lord has allowed the opportunity for me to continue working, which I hope will be a source of inspiration to others. The treatment is difficult but I am blessed by the support of many friends and my family. I will be forever grateful for the outstanding medical care I continue to receive in Tyler and for all the prayers raised on my behalf.”
