A Smith County jailer has been arrested on DWI charges.

Officials with the Smith County Department of Public Safety tell KFXK the incident happened around 9:00 pm on Tuesday evening on Smith County Road 165 near Tyler.

That's when officials say 66 year old Michael Chambers drove off the road and into a tree.
