BEAUMONT (fOX 51) — A second person has died in the Corrigan plant explosion, announced a law firm representing the family on Friday.
The Provost Umphrey Law Firm released the following statement:
With deep sorrow, the family of Kenny Morris announces that Mr. Morris passed away on the morning of Friday, June 6, 2014. Kenny, 58, had been battling the injuries he sustained from the fire at the Corrigan, Texas Georgia-Pacific plywood plant on April 26, 2014.
The Morris family wishes to thank the Corrigan and Lufkin communities, as well as Kenny’s Georgia-Pacific co-workers and friends for their unwavering support and prayers. Also, a special thank you is owed to the Memorial Hermann John S. Dunn Sr. Burn Center for the world-class care and compassion that Kenny received.
Services will be held on Monday June 9th, at Carroway funeral home in Lufkin. As the family mourns their loss, please continue to keep Kenny’s wife Debbie and their children, Ashley and Amanda, in your thoughts and prayers.
Charles Wayne Kovar, 56, of Moscow, died on Friday, May 30, according to the Corrigan Police Department.
