Rusk County officials arrest 7 on drug charges

RUSK COUNTY — On Sunday, the Rusk County Narcotics Division, along with Henderson Police Department executed search warrants at a resident in the 4000 block and 5000 block of County Road 3175, in Mt. Enterprise, Texas. The Rusk County Sheriff’s Office and Henderson Police Department Tactical Units were utilized to enter both residences simultaneously, along with the assistance of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

At the conclusion of the search warrants, Narcotic Officers arrested seven people and seized over 18 ounces of marijuana, over 10 grams of crack cocaine, prescription medication, firearms, and an underdetermined amount of U.S. currency.

The seven suspects arrested were arraigned this morning by Justice of the Peace, Precinct 5, Joe Sorrells. Charles Ray Lewis, 54, of Mt. Enterprise, charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a first degree felony, Possession of Marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor, and Possession of Controlled Substance, Class A Misdemeanor, with bonds totaling $30,000. Brodrick Demon Hall, 39, of Mt. Enterprise, was charged with Manufacture Delivery of a Controlled Substance, first degree felony and Possession of Marijuana, State Jail Felony, with bonds totaling $20,000. Sheldon Ramon Starling, 34, of Mt. Enterprise, with a Parole Violation, and charged with Possession of Marijuana, State Jail Felony, bond set at $10,000.

Others arrested at the scene were Xavier Fitzgerald Bryant, 22, Quillan Demon Moore, 20, Nico Dekeith Jones, 20, all of Mt. Enterprise, and Anthony Benard Frazier, 19 of Marshall, all were charged with Possession of Marijuana, State Jail Felony, with all bonds set at $10,000 each.

Sheriff Danny R. Pirtle stated this is a result of all agencies working together, as a team, to do our very best to get drugs off our streets. We do not set boundaries with other agencies when it comes to drugs. We will utilize available resources willing to assist in these type of investigations. The Panola County Narcotics Division, Henderson Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety are to be commended for their assistance.
