Retired USMC Sergeant, Brendan O’Toole, is running across America to raise awareness and funds in support of returning veterans.

O’Toole, President and Founder of The RUN FOR VETERANS (www.therunforveterans.org) launched the Run in Oceanside, CA on Veterans Day, November 11, 2012. Setting a goal of running 3,600 miles through 21 states and raising $2 million, O’Toole hopes to promote, on a grassroots level, the positive mental, physical and social well-being of returning veterans and their families. Running an average of 15 miles a day, O’Toole will finish the run in Portland, ME in 2013.

Funds raised will be donated to three nationwide veteran organizations: The USO (www.uso.org), Team Red White and Blue (www.teamrwb.org), and Give an Hour (www.giveanhour.org).
