Routine traffic stops catches 8 alleged illegal immigrants

ANGELINA COUNTY — Eight people were arrested early Monday morning for illegally entering the United States, according to Angelina County officials.

Deputies discovered the alleged illegal immigrants during a routine traffic stop at around 1 a.m. on U.S. 59 North, near Rivercrest Road.

Authorities determined the people in the minivan were illegal after giving different stories.

I.C.E. agents are currently interviewing the accused illegals at the Angelina County Jail.
