Friday, January 21, 2011 - 11:36am

UPDATE 2:15 p.m.: Officials tell KETK the driver was involved in a short police chase before crashing his car, not truck as previously stated, into the house.

The chase began when police spotted a vehicle matching the description of a car involved in three convenience store robberies earlier in the night.

Authorities say the suspect lost control of his car and crashed into the house. Two men jumped out of the vehicle and ran. A DPS chopper was called in to assist in the chase.

The suspects are still on the loose. One of the men is described as a black male, the other is unknown.

LONGVIEW - A KETK photographer is at the scene of an early morning crash that left one house heavily damaged.

Neighbors tell us that a truck drove into the house on the 500 block of Texas Street shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

It's unclear at this time if anyone was injured or if the driver has been arrested.

KETK will bring you more information as it becomes available.
